~ Meister ~ Name: Masao Sakurai Nickname: Silver or Silv if you're really lazy. Age: 17 Gender: Male Appearance: Image of Him. Click it, bitch. >=) Personallity: Masao is very laidback, lackadaisical, and light hearted. Even though he's light hearted, he follows the ideals of immediacy, illustrated in Hagakure, in which someone believes that life is a dream, and death is waking up to that dream. Thus, he frequently says "Livin' a dream" or something along those lines. In combat, he is calm, collected, and serious, and has a strong sense of justice. He is a practitioner of Jeet Kune Do, which he incorporates into his Iaido and Kendo. He makes use of Sleight of Hand to trick people or pickpocket things. He is also a very talented saxaphonist. Masao Sakurai was born on March 14th, 1994 in Los Angeles, California. Early in Masao’s life, his mother, Kohana, died in a hit and run accident. His father, Takashi, chose to move to Sasebo, Japan. Their new residence had a beautiful rose garden in memory of Kohana.
After Kohana’s death, Takashi slowly lost his sanity. Although he looked collected on the outside, he was really seething with madness on the inside. In his eyes, the only way to become strong and protect his son was to begin to murder and feast on human souls. People started to hire him to murder, and he became known as “The Maroon Dragon”. Despite all this, he remained composed on the outside, and kept a strong relationship with his son, as he only assassinated to become stronger and protect his son, stated previously. Basically, I’m trying to say he meant well, but went about doing it in a horribly wrong way.
All the while, Masao’s uncle, Shūsuke, taught him the arts of Iaido and Kendo, and the Principles of Jeet Kune Do and the Bushido Principle of Immediacy throughout his life. Masao also forged a strong bond with Shūsuke.
On the night of Masao’s 14th Birthday, Takashi became an Afreet and went berserk out of sheer madness. Takashi took up the form of a Red Chinese Dragon, and is now known as Takashi the Maroon Dragon. Takashi the Maroon Dragon set fire to the Sakurai residence, sending Masao into a deep state of rage. Masao was hugely outmatched, and within seconds of entering the fight, he received three parallel, deep gashes across his chest, that will remain scars for the rest of his life. Takashi the Maroon Dragon prepared to deal the finishing blow, but at the last moment, Shūsuke leapt into the fray and attempted to defend Masao with his Katana. Even though he did manage to block the strike, it was still way too powerful, and he received multiple lacerations. The worst part, however, was that two of his ribs pierced his lungs, and he painfully began to die. As Takashi the Maroon Dragon fled in satisfaction of his destruction, Masao was forced to end his uncle’s life, so he didn’t have to die such a painful death. With tears in his eyes, Masao beheaded his uncle. Often, flashes of the scene will come into his head… blood streaming down his chest… the burning roses… the blade, dripping blood… blood everywhere…
A month later, Masao awoke in a hospital. He was and is lucky to still be alive. The hospital gave him the only thing left of his father - his black coat. Donning the coat, he was discharged from the hospital, and with nowhere to go, began roaming Japan. He picked up the name Silver, and introduces himself as such. Recently, he stowed away on a freighter and came to the United States, traveling to Death City, Nevada.

Kendo - "Way of the Sword", a Japanese Martial Art involving swordsmanship. Sleight of Hand - A basic Magician's Technique that allows one to manipulate items through hand movements and such. She is always optimistic, and really impulsive. She has a strong sense of justice and honor, and is very courageous. She has great respect for everybody, usually referring to people using honorifics, but is not above lying to people. She is quite an accomplished actor, making up elaborate stories to avoid trouble. Yumi was born in Nagasaki, Japan on April 2nd, 1995 (assuming that the current year is 2011). Her father’s name was Rōnin Dōraku; her mother named Angel. Rōnin was, well, a rōnin, or a master less samurai, and received his namesake after becoming one (something frowned upon in Japanese society). His original name was Ryūken. Rōnin was an austere, somber man, but loved his family all the same. Angel is half Puerto Rican and is very loving of Yumi and her husband, quite similar in appearance and personality as well. Yumi deeply adores her parents. Both parents have weapon blood, but never utilized it.
Growing up in Nagasaki was easy for Yumi. The small seaport village was very calm and easy to relax in, and the section left in rubble after the atomic bombing of Nagasaki in WWII got a few visitors, providing some excitement once in a while.
In March 1999 (cherry blossom season!), a Meister visited the town to carry out a mission. He and his partner realized that Yumi was a Weapon as soon as seeing her, via Soul Perception. Yumi, who was only about 4 at the time, knew nothing of this and was an adorable, carefree little girl. The Meister felt it was now necessary to tell Yumi, so he did. Being so young, however, the information went in one ear and out the other, and the Meister and his partner proceeded to die that night, murdered by the Afreet they were hunting.
During December of 2004, a very fateful event occurred. A family of Yakuza, an extremely organized crime gang of Japan, visited Nagasaki for business. A few of the members had heard of a rōnin in the town, and as stated before, being a rōnin was frowned upon, so they went to dishonor him even more. The group discovered the location of Yumi’s father, and challenged him to a duel, six to one. A normal man would’ve denied the request, but Rōnin’s pride disallowed him to do so. But, the group of the Yakuzas was quite inexperienced in the way of the sword, and Rōnin cut them down with ease. Spiteful as the Yakuza are, they hired a feared assassin to murder Rōnin in penance of their brothers’ death. The assassination was, unfortunately, a success. The assassin crept away and left a 9 year old Yumi to find her father dead. Filled with sorrow and anger, Yumi searched for the assassin for almost an entire year obsessively, but never found him.
In January of 2008, still filled with grief, Angel told Yumi of her incredible ability as a Weapon and encouraged her to sign up with Shibusen/DWMA. Unlike before, the information very much stuck. With revenge as a motive, Yumi joined. To this day, Yumi looks forward to the day when she can avenge her father.

Theme Song ~ This Is War - By 30 Seconds To MarsAnd also, some facts about Yumi that I'm sure no one will care about: -Her surname is Miyamoto Musashi's (considered one of the greatest Samurai of all time) Buddhist surname. -She's also based off of my cousin, Gabby ^^ Bushido Techniques (Soul Resonance Only) Tenken - (天譴, "Heavenly Punishment") Creates various phantom body parts of an armored giant to copy whatever body part Silver moves; for example, should Silver swing his sword, a gigantic disembodied arm wielding a sword appears and does the same thing. The body's gigantic parts generated by the technique possess strength and attacking power proportionate to their size (though not as great as it could be due to not having a full body). Okami said he was going to doodle a picture someday, but in the meantime, I have no images. Tachikaze - (断地風, "Earth-Severing Wind") When in use, powerful air currents flow around Silver and Yumi. By slashing Yumi upwards diagonally, the air currents flow through Silver into Yumi and create several transparent blades of air that travel towards the target while tearing up the ground. It can cut through most objects with ease. Click here for a Señor GIF. Shiden - (紫電, "Violet Lightning") Purple lightning surges through Silver and Yumi. This technique increases Silver's speed dramatically. Through striking opponents with Yumi, they become paralyzed for a bit. The technique's true power lies in it's finishing move. Silver holds Yumi vertically, and purple lightning surges straight out of Yumi and into a wide web of electricity. Good for crowd control. Keep in mind, these can only be used once in a battle, and in order to use it again, a full recovery must be made. EDIT - 8/24/11: Since there was a revamp, these techniques are currently not available. Again, those were written by Silver, not me.
